Calling all pensioners Pensioners feeling the financial pinch are being urged to apply for help with their household bills. A campaign was launched in Chadwell St Mary on 21st to ensure older people throughout Thurrock are claiming all the money they are entitled to under the recently introduced Pension Credit Scheme. Chadwell is one of the pensioner hotspots of Thurrock where of nearly a quarter of the 10,000 population is aged 60 or over. Community leaders fear many of older residents are missing out on money which could make their lives a little easier.
