The Government have announced the new proposals for toll charges at the Dartford crossing, promising a near 90% discount for Thurrock residents. C2C SLAMMED FOR SCRAPPING EARLY BIRD TICKETS
Thurrock's, MP Andrew Mackinlay has accused c2c of reneging on pledges given at the time of rail privatisation by abolishing the Flextime or Early Bird Tickets. C2c claim the move is designed to "simplify the Fare Structure". MP LAUNCHES “BLITS” ON THURROCK STREET LIGHTING
Thurrock MP Andrew Mackinlay has launched his annual campaign to improve street lighting in Thurrock for another year.
Talking of his Better Lighting In Thurrock Streets Campaign (BLITS) Mr Mackinlay said: - “My campaign proved to be a huge hit last year. People recognise the importance of good street lighting, especially now the darker evenings are here. People feel safer when their out and about at night and the streets are well light and it’s better for motorists too. <more>

WWI RIFLE PRESENTED TO MP
Thurrock MP Andrew Mackinlay was presented with a Vintage Lee Enfield Rifle by Reg Clark and Alan Golsing of the Purfleet Heritage Centre to recognise his work on behalf of ex-service personnel and unstinting support for Purfleet Heritage Centre.
